"I am" can only communicate with you through Means. What are these Means? The WORD, Baptism, and the Lord's Supper, are the only way to hear, learn, keep, and know who "I am" is. Listen to "I am". Read the WORD for in it you have eternal life. No man can come to "I am" but by JESUS the "I am". By HIS undeserved LOVE, HE gave you the "Gift" of Faith and not you saying I have faith because I "chose to accept "I am". Be far from it. "I am" the way the Truth and the LIfe. No man can come to the Father, but by JESUS the "I am" in the eternal "not made" Triune GOD. The Jews as my children misbehaved so much and killed all those who I sent to them including my only begotton Son to save them that needed a physician to be healed but "they would not". So I turned to the Gentiles as it is written in the Word "I am" gave them, but they turned to fables, made false gods, killed the young children and babies by fire, wanted a king instead of me to lead them, killed the prophets, wanted the world more than Me, chose to live without "I am", and so reaped what they sowed. But as I have loved them I sent my Son "I AM" to be a sacrifice for the entire world that through HIM JESUS THE "I AM" was crucified and was resurrected and now all those who believe it have hope, peace, and love for one another to meet them in the clouds when I come back on that great and final Day. Faith in the Christ "I am" is all I ask of you, because I AM LOVE. The "I AM" Holy Spirit will guide you through this life to to know and learn of Me and my LOVE for you through the Word, Baptism, and the Lord's Supper. Hey, brother...interesting response, but I want to encourage you to continue To hide this word, or as James just called it, get "grafted" in to more of Jesus. If you desire to see others healed, KNOW of a certainty that 1. It is always God's will to heal. We are not disciplined by God using disease or sickness. This is a aflame doctrine and it undermines our faith both in healing, but more importantly, in the nature of God. It expresses the role the believer plays in the model of society and explains the reason to continue in the purpose discovered in each man. It is important to read the word of God to understand what is expected of us. Represent Jesus as best as we can. Include the Lord in all we do.

The "dry" land is the meek heart dried up the waters of evil speaking. Happy are the "poor in spirit"that is, poor in breath as they will be swift to hear His opened mouth teaching and slow to speak.poor in words.

The earth shall bring forth "grass"that is, peace within the heart. The fruit of righteousness is sown in peace of them that make peace. They will act in the wisdom that descends from above and not in that earthly, devilish wisdom that is from below the Heaven.

The herb yielding seed after his kind is faith in what they hear Him saying. There are different degrees of faith. The fruit tree yielding fruit whose seed is in itself is the kingdom of God within us that can grow into a great tree. We are to be His planting of the trees of His righteousness.



Luke 13:18-19 KJV

(18) Then said he, Unto what is the kingdom of God like? and whereunto shall I resemble it?

(19) It is like a grain of mustard seed, which a man took, and cast into his garden; and it grew, and waxed a great tree; and the fowls of the air lodged in the branches of it.

The seed within us is able to save our souls but we must be "dry" within the heart of all superfluity of naughtiness that overflows the heart in words. We must be doers of His Word.

James 1:21 KJV

(21) Wherefore lay apart all filthiness and superfluity of naughtiness, and receive with meekness the engrafted word, which is able to save your souls.

Genesis 1:9 KJV(9) And God said, Let the waters under the heaven be gathered together unto one place, and let the dry land appear: and it was so.

The Word of God spoken in truth causes people to either resist in their wrath what is being said with the "superfluity of naughtiness" or they "dry" up the waters of strife upon their hearts and humble themselves to the hearing of it. The meek shall inherit the earth as God called the "dry" Earth

The "waters" of people under the Heaven are the unbelievers of His Word as they gather together against it. They will rage/roar against it as the churning of the angry seas. While the "dry" heart will be swift to hear His Word and will be slow to speak and slow to wrath.

James 1:19-21 KJV

(19) Wherefore, my beloved brethren, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, slow to wrath:

(20) For the wrath of man worketh not the righteousness of God.

The "dry" is the meekness of the heart that has put away the waters of strife towards what they hear. The "dry" appears.

(21) Wherefore lay apart all filthiness and superfluity of naughtiness, and receive with meekness the engrafted word, which is able to save your souls.

The "sea" and all that is in them are the people who rage and are gathered together against His Christ as illustrated in Acts 4. He has made Heaven and earth and the sea and all that is in them:

You had better listen to Paul, Romans to Philemon, to FIND out HOW to be SAVED!

The book of James, as with Hebrews, is generally understood to have been written to Jewish Christians (as we refer to them now as, Messianic Jews). They are very much a part of Christ's Church but their backgrounds & understanding of Scripture required these letters to be written with them in mind.

James 1:5, therefore speaks to believers (specifically to the twelve tribes of Israel scattered abroad) & not to unbelievers, simply because unbelievers wouldn't think of asking God for wisdom or anything else. Sometimes, in their desperation they may call out to God, but these truths don't speak about those people.

Our present day application would be that, not only for wisdom, but for anything that we ask of our Father, He will give according to His Will but we have to believe that He can & will ( 1 Jn 5:14,15). Many folk ask amiss (Js 1:6-8, 4:3) & don't receive. If we are close to God, in our love & obedience to Him, then His Spirit intercedes on our behalf (helps us) with what we should ask ( Rom 8:26,27). So if we are listening closely to Him, then it changes completely what things we ask for. Many people are disappointed when they ask & don't receive. It is not that God is not listening, it is because we're asking to satisfy our desires & not of His Will.

The Bible says If any one lacks wisdom...... Who is the any one? Does it only refers to christains? How was James speaking to? How can we apply this today?

Are you referring to James 1:8? If so, it says "A double-minded man is unstable in all his ways."

Double-minded can also be translated double-psyche. What this is telling me is that I can ask the Lord for wisdom ( James 1:5), but I have to understand that wisdom is gained through enduring trials by faith. And so when he says if any of you lack wisdom, let him ask from God, we have to be careful. If I say "I would really like to have God's wisdom," okay, but I'm going to have to go through a lot of trials.

My personal definition of wisdom, and it's the word Sophos by the way, but my personal definition that actually summarizes its application in the New Testament is that wisdom is seeing life as God sees life. It's like looking through His eyes!

1 Corinthians 2:16 plays a big role in this, that we have been given the mind of Christ. The word mind is the word Nous, which means perceptive. By His Spirit, we can perceive God and His working in our circumstances. That's wisdom, seeing life as God sees life. Now how am I going to do that? By experiencing Him, and by enduring and totally trusting the Lord Jesus Christ!

So I can ask the Lord for wisdom and then freak out as soon as He starts putting me in tough circumstances. My emotions would be flying all over the place. I'd be calling all my friends asking what I should do. It could lead to panic and anxiety.

We have to understand that we ask and we enter into trials in order to endure through them by trusting the Lord. But we have problems with that sometimes. It's like I know I should be trusting the Lord and I know what the bible says, but look what I'm going through, and it's a big mess. That is an unstable person, a double-minded man, that can't be ready to ask for wisdom. They've got to learn to endure their trials first.

Chris, If you believe the tree was an actual unique tree, perhaps it wasn't a corrupt tree. You bring up a good point. But why would God tell Adam and Eve not to eat its fruit if there was nothing wrong with it? Keep in mind that if the tree is an actual tree, then its fruit is an actual fruit which imparted knowledge with one single bite. So God protected the Tree of Life, but what does the Bible say happened to the Tree of Knowledge? As an aside, here is another example of allegory. Ps 104:4, Heb 1:7, "Now about the angels He says: "He makes His angels winds, His servants flames of fire."" So, if that is literal, how long were the Angels there protecting the Tree of Life? And if these trees are no longer there, were they cut down? What happened to them? Did more trees of knowledge grow there?

Your comparison between Adam and God in the Flesh (Jesus) is questionable. Christ came with a Pre-Determined Purpose. Christ is God. Christ was Mature and fully prepared. His response to the devil was, "You shall not tempt the Lord your God." James 1:13, "God is not tempted by evil" and in Acts 2:24, "death had no power to hold him". Jesus was a man. But He was God in the body of a man. Death entered the world through Adam, because Adam was weak. But life came through Jesus, the Tree of Life, the resurrection and the life.

I don't agree with your assumption that God wanted to shield Adam and Eve from Knowledge of Good and Evil, to keep them innocent. Is there a Biblical foundation for that? Additionally, you imply corruption wasn't in existence in the Garden. But didn't God send the most corrupt thing in His creation to the Garden? There were 3 things in the Garden, Man, TKGE, TL. Why was the TKGE there?

I won't debate that God created a flawed universe. He didn't. It deteriorated on its own. But think about what you said, 'I would say it was a part of His Perfect Knowledge & His Whole Plan into Eternity allowed for it."

I find it interesting that James letter is written to the twelve tribes of Israel . Not all Israel is Israel , but the Israel of God is in Christ .

The 12 apostles will rule over the twelve tribes in the kingdom as well . In Christ there is neither Jew or Gentile . Interesting !
