Ephesians 4:13-32, Colossians 3:8-10,
Revelation 21:27, Revelation 22:15,
I believe these are the scriptures, you're looking for: John 1:12,
Genesis 4:26, Genesis 5:22-24, Genesis 6:1-7,
Revelation 22:18,19, Deuteronomy 4:2,
Thank you for your response. I believe we are in agreement, and just wanted to comment/elaborate on something. You said: "So then, why should we keep His laws? Because it is in keeping the 10 commandments and all that God instructs us to do that allows us to give love to God an others."
I agree, but I also would like to add that Jesus tells us repeatedly throughout the scripture to follow the commandments, including this powerful scripture spoken by Jesus to Apostle John approximately 50 years after His ascension into Heaven. If the Commandments were nailed to the cross and are no longer viable as many try to argue, why is Jesus still telling us that following his commandments are necessary - 50 years after His crucifixion?
Revelation 22:14
"Blessed are they that do his commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city."
Will those people that don't try to follow His commandments get to enter into the City? It doesn't sound like it to me! This is a very compelling reason for trying follow His Commandments, in may opinion - probably the best reason.
Finally, I agree it is His Holy Spirit working in us, allowing the ability to truly follow His Commands!
God Bless.
Jesus says that all of the law (Ten Commandments) hang on those two commandments that you are refrencing.
Matthew 22:40
"On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets."
Jesus/God wants you to try keep all of his commandments.
John 14:15
"If ye love me, keep my commandments."
Jesus tells us if we want to enter into heaven we will keep his commandments.
Revelation 22:14
"Blessed are they that do his commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city."
Read and Believe!
Proverbs 14:9, Hebrews 11:36, in context Hebrews 11, Isaiah 63:8, James 3:14, Revelation 22:14,15, Revelation 21:27,
Hopefully these are helpful
Matthew 28:19- (Words of Jesus about baptism)
Matthew 3:13-17
Jesus set an EXAMPLE of baptism for us and all three (tri-unity) were there. The Father, the Son, the Holy Spirit, all together, at the baptism. Jesus always led by example.
I am not seasoned in the word YET as are most of y'all, but I do know enough to know that the Bible says this;
Revelation 22:18
Revelation 22:19
With emphasis on revelation 22:19 And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book.
Jesus Christ himself placed the benchmark high according to the prophets, and not about what's convenient for man. Uncomfortable truths here are discouraged from uncovering. Did Ham's son bear the curse God dealt out or not? If you can't face the small facts, how are you gonna handle the day of the Lord when it takes you by surprise, simply because you never understood what it was. The trumpets you ignore. That's a shame, but then the Lord says when His people are attacked, Ezekiel 21:12, they will not know from where it came from, as if they're too caught up in their own Gospel to know the difference.
Do you wonder why the USSR fell in 1991 of a deadly wound, and up popped up a new country, a new government, called The Russian Federation? Daniel 7:8 Russia is the little horn, more stout than his fellows Daniel 7:20 Russia is run by a president who refers to his nuclear arsenal as a "fiery serpent" Isaiah 14:29.
You people literally have no idea what's about to go down while this is what I carry around every day:
And it shall be when they say unto thee,Wherefore sighest thou? that thou shall answer for the tidings because it come as an every heart shall melt and all hands shall be civil and every spirit shall faint and all knees shall be weak as water behold it, and it shall be brought to pass saith the Lord God. Ezekiel 21:7
Ezekiel and the rest of the prophets see what I see coming and there's no denying it. If you have the least bit inclination as to what I'm talking about you may as well get your house in order now.
"In the midst of the street of it, and on either side of the river, was there the tree of life, which bare twelve manner of fruits, and yielded her fruit every month: and the leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations."
Isn't that amazing and it puts into perspective every knee shall bow and every tongue shall confess that Jesus Christ is the Lord. One other verse the great Chistian minds never interpret or notice is said twice, Once in the beginning in Rev 1 and again in the end in Rev 22, Revelation 1:3
"Blessed is he that readeth, and they that hear the words of this prophecy, and keep those things which are written therein: for the time is at hand."
Revelation 22:7
"Behold, I come quickly: blessed is he that keepeth the sayings of the prophecy of this book."
So rather questions of these why don't focus on scriptures as these and seek what we are to keep and do. What are those things we are to keep that are written in Revelations? See what heaven will be won't add to you salvation but keeping what God tells us will
King James Version (KJV)
This water John speaks of ,We cannot live without it, this water that not only feeds the body, but saturates the soul. The trees the flowers the unending meadows that hold the calves. The oceans that are full and moved at only by the moon over the horizon. This the water of life, some will never taste, some will never see! This water that comes from heaven, for the sake of you and I!
If you have tasted these things that flow so freely, than you have experienced a life that flows from the new Jerusalem!
Remember the number of gates, remember the number, so you are not deceived. Repent and be Baptized
It means Gods dwelling place, He will Himself, not just His glory in a tent or a building but dwell with us and we will see His face. Revelation 22:4 And they shall see his face; and his name shall be in their foreheads. God and Jesus will be the temple, Revelation 21:22 And I saw no temple therein: for the Lord God Almighty and the Lamb are the temple of it.

Thanks for the reminder from the Hebrews.
1 John 3.10 In this the children of God are manifest, and the children of the devil: whosoever doeth not righteousness is not of God, neither he that loveth not his brother.
Isaiah 51:2 Look unto Abraham your father, and unto Sarah that bare you: for I called him alone, and blessed him, and increased him."
2 Peter 3:1 This second epistle, beloved, I now write unto you; in both which I stir up your pure minds by way of remembrance:
2 That ye may be mindful of the words which were spoken before by the holy prophets, and of the commandment of us the apostles of the Lord and Saviour:
3 Knowing this first, that there shall come in the last days scoffers, walking after their own lusts,
4 And saying, Where is the promise of his coming? for since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of the creation.
5 For this they willingly are ignorant of, that by the word of God the heavens were of old, and the earth standing out of the water and in the water:
6 Whereby the world that then was, being overflowed with water, perished:
7 But the heavens and the earth, which are now, by the same word are kept in store, reserved unto fire against the day of judgment and perdition of ungodly men.
Ephesians 5:14 Wherefore he saith, Awake thou that sleepest, and arise from the dead, and Christ shall give thee light.
2 Timothy 4.7 I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith:
8 Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing.
John 5:7 If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you.
Revelation 22:15 For without are dogs, and sorcerers, and whoremongers, and murderers, and idolaters, and whosoever loveth and maketh a lie.
Many claim the apocrypha should never have been included in the first place, raising doubt about its validity and believing it was not God-inspired (for instance, a reference about magic seems inconsistent with the rest of the Bible: Tobit chapter 6, verses 5-8). Others believe it is valid and that it should never have been removed- that it was considered part of the Bible for nearly 2,000 years before it was recently removed a little more than 100 years ago. Some say it was removed because of not finding the books in the original Hebrew manuscripts. Others claim it wasn't removed by the church, but by printers to cut costs in distributing Bibles in the United States. Both sides tend to cite the same verses that warn against adding or subtracting from the Bible: Revelation 22:18. The word 'apocrypha' means 'hidden.' Fragments of Dead Sea Scrolls dating back to before 70 A.D. contained parts of the apocrypha books in Hebrew, including Sirach and Tobit [source].
Keep this in mind when reading the following apocryphal books. Martin Luther said, "Apocrypha--that is, books which are not regarded as equal to the holy Scriptures, and yet are profitable and good to read." (King James Version Defended page 98.)
LINKS for the Apocrypha and the 1611 version are out on the red link page if you want to see them.
Death is something we all will face; many believe our body dies and our soul lives on. Is our soul immortal? Can we take 2 Corinthians 5:8 when we die our soul leaves our body and we are present with the Lord? Some define death as a separation of the soul from the body. Does that come from scripture? I have not found that in scripture.
It comes from Greek philosophy of Plato. He wrote the body is a prison for the soul and viewed death as the means of freedom for the soul. The philosophy of death started blending in the church in the second century and those good souls go to heaven and the bad goes to hell and more. Many see the parable in Luke 16:19-31 as fitting this. If you read the chapter Jesus is talking about the unrighteous love mammon and neglect the true riches.
My understanding from scripture every part of us is mortal and when we die, we sleep in the dust, Job 14:12-14, Job 17:13-16, Ecclesiastes 9:5-10 until resurrection. When this mortal puts on immortality 1 Corinthians 15:52-58, and we will be absent from this flesh body. Then those that are Christs will be judged and receive our rewards. Matthew 16:27, Revelation 22:12 that is our hope, 1 Thessalonians 2:19
We will sleep in the dust, Daniel 12:2, 1Theselonians 4:14 and this is not from heaven, it is from around the world to meet Jesus in the air coming down to Israel the start the 1000 years at His coming. Matthew 24:31 Zechariah 14:4.
This is my understanding of scripture.

When reading it, the easiest understanding would be that it is God Who comes for the catching away of the saints, with the spirits of the departed believers from Heaven. But we know from reading other Scriptures of this particular time & of the future Millenium period, that God's Presence is nowhere seen, except finally after the creation of & habitation in the New Jerusalem in the new heavens & Earth ( Revelation 21:1-4; Revelation 22:1-3).
And then in 1 Thessalonians 3:13, we read: "To the end he (Jesus) may stablish your hearts unblameable in holiness before God, even our Father, at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ with all his saints." So, Paul states here that it is Jesus that comes with the spirits of the saints. Then when we align this verse with the one in question, we could read 1 Thessalonians 4:14 as, '...even them also which are asleep in Jesus will God send along with Jesus'. As well, we see the clear distinction of those who are asleep in Jesus awaiting resurrection (v16), & those who are asleep in Jesus in Heaven (v14); these are not Old Testament saints, but those who have put their trust in Christ & have since passed on. When we die, our spirits leave our body to return to the Lord Who gave it, awaiting the day of resurrection when both spirit & body will be reunited & living forever with the Lord (v17). This was the great comfort to the despairing Thessalonians, who believed that the dead would not be raised or in the case of 2 Timothy 2:18, where those two false teachers taught that the resurrection of believers was already accomplished.
But we are assured that our rising to be with our Saviour is certain & those who have died 'in Christ', are not forgotten, but will come with Jesus & together we will join Him to reign with Him for eternity.
John 3:29 He that hath the bride is the bridegroom: but the friend of the bridegroom, which standeth and heareth him, rejoiceth greatly because of the bridegroom's voice: this my joy therefore is fulfilled.
Matthew 24:22 And except those days should be shortened, there should no flesh be saved: but for the ELECT"S sake those days shall be shortened.
1 Peter 1:2 Elect (Church/Bride) according to the foreknowledge of God the Father, through sanctification of the Spirit, unto obedience and sprinkling of the blood of Jesus Christ: Grace unto you, and peace, be multiplied.
2 John 1:1 The elder unto the elect lady and her children, whom I love in the truth; and not I only, but also all they that have known the truth;
Revelation 22:17 And the Spirit and the (bride) say, Come. And let him that heareth say, Come. And let him that is athirst come. And whosoever will, let him take the water of life freely.
You didn't address me personally, but your positions ignore much scripture. Jesus didn't come to destroy the law (10 commandments) he came to die for our sins, provide us the means through Him to receive forgiveness for our sins, and teach us how to live and please God, and provide for us a way to achieve salvation if we listen and believe in HIS GOSPEL!
Matthew 5:17-19
17- Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfill. For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled.
Heaven and earth have NOT passed. Listen close to Jesus:
18- Whosoever therefore shall break one of these least commandments, and shall teach men so, he shall be called the least in the kingdom of heaven: but whosoever shall do and teach them, the same shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven.
You may want to reconsider following God's commandments.
When asked; Jesus stated the two most important commandments: To love God, and to love our neighbor's. He also stated in the next verse: Matthew 22:40 "On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets."
Jesus said that all the of law hang on those 2 greatest commandments. The commandments are still in affect - until the End of Time!
God did promise us a new covenant. Hebrews 8:10 "For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, saith the Lord; I will put my laws into their mind, and write them in their hearts: and I will be to them a God, and they shall be to me a people:" He will put His Laws in our minds - not do away with them!
Jesus tells us: John 14:15 "If ye love me, keep my commandments." Jesus also tells us 45 to 50 years after his death - in Revelation 22:14 to keep the commandments if we want to enter into Heaven. This is VERY STRONG scripture to ignore.
Read and Believe!
In vv 10,11, we see the Lord speaking to John to leave this great Prophecy open as the time is at hand. Those that reject Christ & continue in their wickedness will continue - those who that are sanctified, stay true to the Lord.
Then in vv 14,15, we read that John himself speaks (in-between Jesus' Words to him), confirming the blessed position of those who obey the Lord as opposed to those who are rejected for their many sins (those who are in the Lake of Fire & would never make it to that City). So, it may be that Apostle John is simply making a statement of those who have a right to the Tree of Life & those who will not be found anywhere there; and not necessarily, as it appears in our reading, that there might be evil even in this new creation of God, where sin, death, & hell are in that fiery lake. I realize that this explanation may not be received well, but if sinners were running loose at that time, it would make the other Scriptures that speak of this time & this City, erroneous.
Amen, and well said.
I'm not surprised with this kickback against scripture. There is a large percentage of people today, preaching and believing false doctrine out there. Much of this doctrine is coming out of the Mega Churches, and the "feel good preachers". Their teachings, have no merit when held up to the light of scripture. They ignore tons of scripture, including the Gospel of Jesus Christ. They are more interested in growing their congregations and bringing in vast amounts of money. In order to keep and grow their congregations, they tell people what they want to hear, and manipulate the scriptures to agree with their lies. People don't want to hear that they need to change their life and stop sinning. They want to continue living a worldly lifestyle and believe they will still get salvation, when the scripture clearly states otherwise.
Yes, the gate is strait, and narrow is the way - few will find it! Many today ignore this verse.
Matthew 7:14
"Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it."
Many also ignore:
Revelation 22:14
"Blessed are they that do his commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city."
Jesus tells us Point Blank - if we don't keep his commandments we WILL NOT have the right to the tree of life! So we will not enter into Heaven.
A wise person "fears God' and in conjunction with the Holy Spirit will do their very best to avoid sin, and live a Christ like life, while producing good works and good fruit.
God Bless.
Chris gave you an excellent reply.
LORD (YHVH) has a face, but humans cannot look on it and live, Moses saw his back parts Exodus 33:20-23. If we accept Jesus as our Lord and savior and are sealed with the Holy Spirit, when all is new, we will see our LORDs face. Revelation 21:1-7 Revelation 22:4. We will see God and Jesus both, because they will be the temple, Revelation 21:22

the history of what God had to do to make sure our Saviour was going to be born and accomplish His ministry so
He God could have what He desired originally with Adam and Eve eventually a Family He God being a Father
so to make the statement the old testament laws don't count is at best questionable. The law was given to
educate and protect Gods adopted children from the pagan practices they were surrounded by. Also God all
along was looking for everything to be perfectly right according to all of His creation so that our enemy could
be defeated. So yes the law was temporary Gods purpose, Abraham called Gods purpose, look at the grace in
giving us the comfort of psalms and the instruction of proverbs and everything dealing with Israel. Doesn't
this fit into 2 Timothy 3:16+17 so all scripture is profitable! Also there is still one commandment that fits always
Mathew 22:37-40 on these hang all the law and the prophets its where Adam and Eve started!
If you look up a verse on its own dedicated page then look under the commentary sometimes it reveals useful information. In this case it offered a cross reference to Revelation 22:15 which is another example use of the word dogs. So, its likely not talking about pets. I think God made pets to be our friends.
God bless...
We could (maybe foolishly) ask the question, 'why doesn't God then 're-constitute' Jesus to shed His glorified flesh & return Him back to being the Word within the Godhead?' Jesus is still God's Word ( Revelation 19:11-16), but now in flesh, & will probably evermore be what the Father planned: His eternal Witness of God sacrificing Himself, but now reigning as "King of kings and Lord of lords" ( Revelation 19:16): as Israel's promised Supreme Messiah-King, the Root & Offspring of David ( Revelation 22:16), & also of those Gentiles who have been saved because of faith in the Messiah of God. Therefore, in these final chapters of Revelation, we see both God, His Son (Word made flesh), & the Holy Spirit ( Revelation 4:5, 'the seven-fold Spirit of God' and Revelation 22:17) - neither ceasing to be within the Godhead, yet remaining both a physical & spiritual Presence of God as God has determined of Himself.
God is not the God of confusion; I pray that you are led by the Spirit of truth and are delivered from the confusion that man is so good at. I will only address the one part, about the temple in the New City. If you read Revelation 21:22-23 And I saw no temple therein: for the Lord God Almighty and the Lamb are the temple of it. And the city had no need of the sun, neither of the moon, to shine in it: for the glory of God did lighten it, and the Lamb is the light thereof.
The Holy Spirit is not spoken of. My understanding that many may disagree, God and Jesus will be among us and there will be no need to communicate through the spirit because we will be faced to face.
Revelation 21:3 And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them, and be their God. Revelation 22:3-4 And there shall be no more curse: but the throne of God and of the Lamb shall be in it; and his servants shall serve him:4 And they shall see his face; and his name shall be in their foreheads.
You must with prayer come to your own understanding of the trinity doctrine and if scripture truly supports it, be led by the Spirit of truth.
God bless,

3:23+24 which was Eden garden of God then in Revelation 22:2 when everything is again paradise of God. There
are verses about a tree of life in regards to Gods Words operating in life. Notice what lengths God did to make sure
nothing got to partake of the tree of life! My understanding for what its worth.
Jesus is coming back soon this time as the triumphant King, the Lion
Jesus is also the Lion!
The Holy Word is prophetic and revealed to those who has His Spirit by giving Jesus the throne in your heart.
In the 1000 years reign as King, the lamb ( Jesus) and the Lion (Jesus) is together in Jesus the same.
The Wolf is the enemy, antichrist, who will deceive people to recognize him as the King of the World, not so.
Revelation 22:19
[19]And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book........

"Therefore if I know not the meaning of the voice, I shall be unto him that speaketh a barbarian, and he that speaketh shall be a barbarian unto me." because it is the wrong understanding or misinformation of trinity to be added to the scriptures of 1 Corinthians 14:11
"Therefore if I know not the meaning of the voice, I shall be unto him that speaketh a barbarian, and he that speaketh shall be a barbarian unto me."
King James Version (KJV)
The main bottom line is that there is no such thing about the unscriptural word of trinity in the King James Version Bible Edition 1611 according to the scriptures as it is written in Proverbs 30:5
"Every word of God is pure: he is a shield unto them that put their trust in him."
Proverbs 30:6
"Add thou not unto his words, lest he reprove thee, and thou be found a liar."
King James Version (KJV)
Revelation 22:18
"For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book:"
King James Version (KJV)
Deuteronomy 4:2
"Ye shall not add unto the word which I command you, neither shall ye diminish ought from it, that ye may keep the commandments of the LORD your God which I command you."
King James Version (KJV)
Deuteronomy 12:32
"What thing soever I command you, observe to do it: thou shalt not add thereto, nor diminish from it."
King James Version (KJV)
The Command of God to them was not to deny them a fuller knowledge of life (as that is part of the Image of God), for we know that the trees in Eden gave edible fruit & were given to them to freely eat from (v16), but that particular tree was also there to be a test of their obedience to their Creator. They could have partaken of the Tree of Life if they did not sin, but for now forbidden from the Tree of the Knowledge of Good & Evil. The worth of that tree isn't in question, the worth of A & E's moral integrity is.
What would have happened if they obeyed God even after being tempted to disobey - would that tree still be debarred from them? Could God have said to them, 'Since you passed the test, you can now eat of that tree?' We don't know - maybe God wanted mankind to be kept in innocence into eternity, or maybe after the test would be completed, that tree would have become available so that mankind would increase in knowledge, conforming more to the Image of his Creator. All this is supposition of course.
We no longer see the Tree of the Knowledge of Good & Evil, as the sin of disobedience was already committed & that very sin has passed onto all mankind: disobeying our Creator, removing His Lordship over us, & replacing it with ours. But the Tree of Life is seen in the New Earth ( Revelation 22:2), when Satan can no longer deceive us & cause us to sin, & that Tree stands, maybe symbolically, speaking of our restored eternal existence with our God & Saviour.
