This story has been circulating for decades and I heard it is false- that it was invented by rich people so they feel better about being wealthy and entering heaven. Only God is the judge. It clearly says loving money is the sin- probably the sin of idolatry.

These two chapters don't apply to what we're dealing with today, including the coronavirus. Chapter 16 of Revelation begins what is called the seven bowl judgments of God.
One might argue that the coronavirus could be God's judgment on us, but it doesn't apply to these two chapters. If you notice at the beginning of Chapter 16, the first bowl was poured out on those who had the mark of the beast, and those who worshipped his image. Since the antichrist has not yet been revealed, no one today has his mark, and no one today worships his image. Chapters 16 and 17 is a time of God's wrath. The Coronavirus does not come close in comparison to God's wrath that will poured out at a later time.

Matthew 19:24, Mark 10:25, Luke 18:25 are the scriptures about the eye of a needle. In ancient times the big doors of a city was locked at night. People parked their camels outside and entered the city through a small door; known as the eye of a needle
Jesus was saying it would be easier for a camel to go through the eye of the needle than for a rich man to enter the kingdom of heaven. I guess love of money is a problem.

No Baptism is not a requirement to be saved. We are told again and again in the Bible that the man who trusts in Christ has everlasting life immediately.
    John 3:36 says:
"He that believeth on the Son HATH everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him." Same in John 5:24 and John 6:47. We are saved by grace well before we even touch the water.
And since grace means a free undeserved gift, any act or commitment intended to merit salvation is necessarily excluded ( Rom. 11:6). Understand all men are saved the same way, by believing on Jesus. That's why the thief on the cross could go to Heaven despite not being baptized.

Matthew 19:24 And again I (Jesus) say unto you, It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle, than for a rich man to enter into the kingdom of God. Mark 10:23 And Jesus looked round about, and saith unto his disciples, How hardly shall they that have riches enter into the kingdom of God!
Mark 10:24 And the disciples were astonished at his words. But Jesus answereth again, and saith unto them, Children, how hard is it for them that trust in riches to enter into the kingdom of God!

  • Joshua on Colossians 1:15 - 6 years ago
God said(through the speaker) right here: " He, Jesus Who is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of every creature:" What is confusing about that? Listen to John chapter 1 again. "In the beginning was the Word Jesus , and the Word Jesus was with God, and the Word Jesus was God." - John 1:1
If we think something in God's words contradicts something else He has said, it's always WE who are wrong.

What?? I assume you are an american, if I am wrong forgive me but you cannot assume everything is about America.God has a plan that He will allow to run its course, when He needs to intervene He does and He will. We as Spirit filled believers need to stay the course as Paul said, be fervent in prayer redeeming the times, spread the gospel help save as many souls due to a rampant Satan who knows his time is short. Let us be faithful, the times are evil and we need to prepare, get ready while we have the time. In one stroke, the churches around the world are shut..the fight has really begun, we will be under attack, but let us not waver in making ours an election that is sure..Peace..

There is the will of God; the free will God gave to humans; and there is another will loose in the world (the entire planet): that would be SATAN. ( Isaiah 14:12)
"For thou hast said in thine heart, I WILL exalt my throne above the stars of God..."
Quite a bit in chapter 14 about Lucifer/Devil/Satan. He's not locked yet. He's in the world! How many times did Job's wife tell him to curse God and die? He didn't do it.

Let other people know God does not cause the pain and suffering. He does however go through the fiery furnace with you. Give Him praise people!
When your mouth opens up to accuse God, or you hear someone else doing it remember that one of satans names is: ACCUSER

  • Mickey - In Reply on Philippians 4 - 6 years ago
You can find the "Eye Of A Needle" scripture in these books: Matthew 19:24, Mark 10-25 and Luke 18:25.
Read down to them because the incident begins before Jesus says the verse.
  • Benji - In Reply on 1 Thessalonians 1 - 6 years ago
Well first, a saved Christian isn't sinless. No one's sinless. That's why you believe in the Lord Jesus Christ because only his righteousness can get you to heaven. And James's listeners were Christians ( James 2:1) "My brethren, do not hold the faith of OUR Lord Jesus Christ, etc." This sort of statement can only be made to Jewish believers

Also, I never said no faith will save you. But aside from that let me talk about "faith without works is dead". When something is dead does that mean it's non-exsistant? No. In context, it means it's unprofitable or inactive. The presence of faith is not in question, remember these are believers. Salvation is done with. Now he's talking about service.
  • Shy on 2 Esdras 1 - 6 years ago
Is my pet in heaven? My parents don't believe animals go to heaven because they don't have a soul, is this true because they don't have a soul, I won't see my pet in heaven?
  • Adam - In Reply on 1 Thessalonians 1 - 6 years ago
Thanks for your opinion. I believe James 2 is talking about how to be saved, because in verse 5 it says "God chosen the poor of this world rich in faith, and heirs of the kingdom". He's talking about who is able to go to heaven. And verse 13 he talks about judgment. If he was talking to 'saved' Christians then why would James be warning them about judgment and avoiding sin with good works? If they were 'saved' Christians and sinless then why in verses 9-11 does he warn them to not sin? It clearly says in verse 26 that faith without works is dead, but you're saying people with dead or no faith can still enter heaven? That contradicts the whole point of this chapter. This chapter is a warning.

what does this mean in simple terms "let the children be filled first, for it is not good to take the children's bread and throw it to the little dogs"
  • VB Brookins on Isaiah 63:8 - 6 years ago
some time God people forget that God needs no help at all, when time to go to battle we are to turn it over and put it in the Lord hands and step back and watch how the Lord work. God has shown man over thousands of years that He is Faithful and committed to us, it's man who has a problem with being faithful and committed to God. we as believers need stop and reflect on our pass and remember how many times the Lord has delivers us from our trail and tribulations.
we should pray and ask the Lord to renew the love we had when we first received Him in our life.

does the bible say, it will be as hard for a rich man to get to heaven as it is for a camel to get through the eye of a needle
  • Benji - In Reply on 1 Thessalonians 1 - 6 years ago
Waunda, There are many verses throughout the Bible that say again and again that we are saved apart from works/acts of righteousness. This includes Baptism (water) which is an act of righteousness/work. Baptism, AFTER we are saved, is good, and if if you can be baptized then go ahead. But NOT to be saved. To be saved will always be "Whosoever Believeth in him shall not perish but have everlasting life" John 3:16. You have God's word that child-like Faith in Jesus's finished work alone is sufficient. It's all Grace, 0 works. "For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God;" Eph. 2:8-9
  • Kenny - In Reply on Matthew 24 - 6 years ago
Pam, it's not too difficult. God presented several curses when Adam and Eve sinned. 1.The serpent, it will eat dust and move about on it's belly(prior to sin, it was able to fly) 2. To Satan - Jesus Christ will come as the redeemer of man and bear our sins and die for us(More on this below). 3. To Eve, child bearing will be painful. 4.Finally to Adam, he will have to toil and sweat and work hard to support his family.
To provide more details: As Christ lived and died for us Satan tried to kill/destroy his name(that is Satan bruising the heel). Christ will bruise Satan's head by dying on the cross for our sins and in the end place all sins on Satan in the lake of fire to be forever destroyed

At the top of this website is a box you can use to find all scriptures in the Bible about the Holy Spirit; why Jesus wanted us to be sealed with the Holy Spirit. He is the Spirit of Jesus, on earth, helping us read the Bible, revealing Jesus to us,
Teaching, Comforting, convicting us about sinful attitudes, and so much more. Do that search and find what so many of us are looking for>>>more Light.
After I was saved I didn't know zip about the Holy Spirit; but He was in me helping a baby Christian walk forward with my Lord and Savior. If you're not sure the Holy Spirit is with you, receive Jesus and ask to be baptized into the Holy Spirit. He is gentle and always reveals Jesus. Trust Jesus
