Thanks for finding that verse, Spencer. Now the matter is settled. I am glad to know this.

See post below from Spencer that says that Joshua was 40 when he was sent to spy out the land. This was in the first few years of travel. The Israelites wandered for 40 years after that. So, Yes, Joshua was a slave in Egypt.
  • GiGi - In Reply on Joshua 24 - 4 years ago
Great! So good to know. So Joshua was almost 40 when they left Egypt. I am glad you found this. Thanks!

Did you ever wondered if the Devil was out to kill us, Why didn't he just kill Adam and Eve? Then he would have laid the axe at the root of all Mankind.

    He's a deceiver.

When he Deceived them He took Dominion.

The Devil is in the Business of Mankind Desciples of his own. The Devil wanted Gods Glory and so do his Children.

Pride is What's a attribute of Satan and our flesh.

I believe Jude has a lot to say about this

I believe this is the context of Jude 1:7-13. Even as Sodom and Gomorrha, and the cities about them in like manner, giving themselves over to fornication, and going after strange flesh, are set forth for an example, suffering the vengeance of eternal fire.

Likewise also these filthy dreamers defile the flesh, DESPISE DOMINION, AND SPEAK EVIL OF DIGNITIES.

Yet Michael the archangel, when contending with the devil he disputed about the body of Moses, durst not bring against him a railing accusation, but said, The Lord rebuke thee.

BUT THESE SPEAK EVIL OF THOSE THINGS WHICH THEY KNOW NOT: BUT WHAT THEY KNOW NATURALLY, AS BRUTE BEASTS, IN THOSE THINGS THEY CORRUPT THEMSELVES.

Woe unto them! for they have gone in the way of Cain, and ran greedily after the error of Balaam for reward, and perished in the gainsaying of Core.

    These are spots in your feasts of charity, when they feast with you, feeding themselves without fear: clouds they are without water, carried about of winds; trees whose fruit withereth, without fruit, twice dead, plucked up by the roots;

Raging waves of the sea, foaming out their own shame; wandering stars, to whom is reserved the blackness of darkness for ever.

Ephesians 6:11. Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the ( WILES )of the devil.

    Ephesians 6:12-13.

We're not given this Armor to March forward. It's so we will be able to Stand.

We don't present ourselves as brute beasts.

Paul says when I am weak I'm strong.

    2 Corinthians 12:7-10.

    The strength is not U

The strength is he that is in U.

The leftist movement involves believing that evil isn't that bad, because they assume everyone who does bad was born under disadvantaged situations and thus you can't blame them for their evil. It forms their own version of morality. Instead of sympathizing with victims of evil, they sympathize with the one commiting it.

But God's morality says that's evil, wrong, and that evildoers will be punished in hell. This is in the Bible, but some seem to gloss over this part and seem upset and offended that a good God would sent people to hell. Some don't like the idea of an authority over them and having rules and actually being subject to them.

Jesus loving died for all of us, and some people want to desecrate and disrespect what Jesus did, by committing more evil. This is like slapping Jesus in the face and spitting on Him. Jesus said if you love Him then to obey His commandments. It seems some people would rather follow and sympathize with Hitler as a mass murderer than sympathize with all the families destroyed by him. People are rewarding criminals, even drug dealers who kill people, human traffickers, rapists, pedophiles, and allow them into countries, while imprisoning people who believe differently. That is evil. We even saw someone recently in the US run over a bunch of white people, but because he was black the media didn't cover it much and just called it a 'parade accident'.

God is a loving and fair judge and all people will be accountable for their actions whether good or evil. No one know to what extent people will be punished. The Bible gives several verses, and its enough to know that it's a terrible place to be and someone would have to be incredibly stupid to turn their back on God and try to go there. Some interpret scripture that its just a death and some interpret that it's an eternal torture. But either way, people get what they deserve for turning their back on Jesus and pursuing evil. God already made it very easy to avoid it.

    Hi Sister GiGi.

perhaps we can draw estimates off of this passage.

Joshua 14:7. Forty years old was I when Moses the servant of the LORD sent me from Kadesh-barnea to espy out the land; and I brought him word again as it was in mine heart.
  • Rick - In Reply on Mark 15 - 4 years ago
Hi Joe You are correct when you follow the time line by the time between the soldiers beating him and sending him to Golgotha he was so pulverised he could not carry the crucifix, they compelled or made simon of cyrene to carry drag it. The cross he Jesus Christ bore was our iniquities and sins. Again mans tradition changes Gods Word. This man was so beaten you did not want to look at Him and he still did not break fellowship, think about that during a bad day.

Ask the Holy Spirit to prepare you for the gift of discerning of "spirits" at work in situations. Pray to be anointed. Luke 4:18

    Jude 1:25

25 To the only wise God our Saviour, be GLORY and MAJESTY, DOMINION and POWER, both now and EVER. Amen.

JESUS gave his disciples HIS AUTHORITY to act and pray in Jesus Name. As we follow Jesus the Holy Spirit will prepare us for ministry.

David was insulted by Goliaths' taunts against calling God; a NAMELESS God. He killed Goliath with a rock and took his head off; and took Goliaths' sword.

We have to read All the Old Stories. There is Gods Perfect Will and then Gods permissive Will.

Our Weapons are MIGHTY TO THE PULLING DOWN OF STRONGHOLDS. The Bible says WE ARE PRIESTS AND KINGS. Look up all these verses for starters ok? Chronicles-and Kings.

It's the Holy Spirits ministry to EQUIP the Saints FOR SPIRITUAL Warfare. If you aren't willing to learn it, then as someone once challenged me.. "don't mess with college material before you learn the BASICS. Now I know how he felt. God spoke through him. I had a pity/angry party, and then I pursued the Lord with all of my strength. Every day. I wasn't Envious. I was INSULTED like David was by Goliath!!

Demons have tried to stop me all my life; or kill me. So I say "why God won't you rescue me?! He's not gonna give you rattlesnakes till you learn to tame the firery Tongue of DOUBTS (James). Saul tried to kill David for years. GET FED UP WITH SATAN HURTING PEOPLE YOU ARE TRYING TO HELP.

The Gospels and Jesus's Example, in spiritual warfare; plus Eph.6: is where we find our WEAPONS. Mighty through God, to the PULLING DOWN OF STRONGHOLDS. Are you a priest or ready to learn through the Holy Spirit; how to kill the giants?

Gigi, did you listen to Iverna Thompkins videos on youtube? Go get yourself on fire and learn of JESUS's AUTHORITY. David's strength: he praised God exceedingly. I talk to HS all day long.

He teaches of JESUS. I never get tired of it.

    English Sacha,

I wanted to tell you that I like your style of Christianity. Hate the sin, not the sinner. Accidentally like a martyr people will tell you what they believe, then sell it to you harder.

You stay warm O' Isles of the sea. Ezekiel 26:18 the day America falls, and you're saved in darkness, begging the man of sin for your survival.

Keep your eye on Iran Rev 6:12 and the little boy who cried wolf, Israel, for the past 40 years, saying Iran's six months away from a bomb. They'll get a brutish army with no mercy running them off the land in chains. While you're getting your's, Rev 6:14 kickstarts Israel's invasion as it is in fact the Day of the Lord. Russia has their own HARRP program to trigger an earthquake. Antichrist is going to tear this world up.

  • Dr. Derek - In Reply on Ecclesiasticus 15 - 4 years ago
Hi, it sounds like you're claiming others don't know the truth whom you don't know. Have you considered that maybe you're speaking about yourself. Some cults like to twisting scripture in order to feel special about being in an exclusive club they assume they're in and I hope this is not from that teaching. Israelites fled Egypt as this verse proves: Exodus 13:3.

If you do not identify with the purchase of Deuteronomy 28 verse Bible is not talking about you as a nation. The curses identify the children of Israel. Go to Deuteronomy 28:68 And tell me who is identified in Deuteronomy 28.

You don't know the truth. The Bible is our book our inheritance. You need the whole Bible Old, new, revelation and the Apocrypha. You will learn the Most High is the God of Judah and Israel the Israelite only all other nations gods are idols. The end game is Joel 3:1-

Why is Jesus most often deemed to stuggle with his own cross when vs 21 says that "Simon the Cyrenian ... to bear his cross"?

Is there some other place in the bible saying Jesus struggled with his cross?
  • Comfort Love and Assurance - In Reply on Matthew 2 - 4 years ago
These scriptures are not as well known as Psalm 23; but they offer assurance that you will see your loved ones again. Hold fast to Jesus. Follow Him.

    Proverbs 2:8

He keepeth the paths of judgment, and preserveth the way of his saints.

    Psalms 116:15

Precious in the sight of the LORD is the death of his saints.

    Jude 1:24-25

Now unto him that is able to keep you from falling, and to present you faultless before the presence of his glory with exceeding joy,

25 To the only wise God our Saviour, be glory and majesty, dominion and power, both now and EVER. Amen.

    2 Timothy 1:12

For the which cause I also suffer these things: nevertheless I am not ashamed: for I know WHOM I have believed, and am persuaded that he is able TO KEEP that which I have committed unto him [the soul] against That day. [the day of death]

Pencil these in a bare page in your Bible.
  • The SON OF MAN represents God in humanity - In Reply - 4 years ago
    John 1:18

No man hath seen God at any time; the only begotten Son, which is in the bosom of the Father, he hath declared him. [represents God wrapped in human flesh]

    1 John 4:14

And we have seen and do testify that the Father sent the Son to be the Saviour of the world.

    John 14:7 [Jesus speaking]

"If ye had known me, ye should have known my Father also: and from henceforth ye know him, and have seen him."

God is a consuming Fire who cannot even look upon sinful mankind without them becoming ashes. That's why Jesus came to earth. He took all our sin and gave us " the righteousness of God through Jesus's Righteousness."

    We were without excuse (s)

John 3 tells us how to get it right.
  • GiGi - In Reply on Joshua 24 - 4 years ago
    Hi again,

I a quick google, some say that he was 20 yrs, when he left Egypt, others say he was 40 yrs old. I am not aware of a Scripture verse that specifies his age during the wanderings, or when he spied out the land, or led the Israelites across the Jordan river.

If anyone knows, please, supply a source I can go to to discover more. Thanks.
  • GiGi - In Reply on Joshua 24 - 4 years ago
I think that Joshua was a child in Egypt when the Israelites exited that land. You may google your question and get more information. I hope you come back and share what you have found out.
  • GiGi - In Reply on Ecclesiasticus 15 - 4 years ago
Hi, could you please explain your idea further?

The Bible is the history of God at work in the world and humanity. He makes Himself known throughout history to people of all nation, tribe and tongue. The Bible is is word for every person, since He is their creator. The True God is not just the God of the Israelites. There is no other God for mankind to call upon for salvation. He is alone as God. There is no other.

I hope to hear more of your ideas.

Gigi When we submit ourselves to God and His Word and walk in faith that is rebuking, it is resistance to back off

evil intent because the adversary can't touch us when we submit ourselves to Gods word because we are backed up

by the power and authority behind that word. It is not a force thing it is never flesh and blood physical, it is renewed

mind subjected to Gods authority. Our presents and speech has a greater impact than we think. If you rebuke another believer who's out of line that means to convincingly change there mind in love. Prayerfully sister this helps explain clearer.

    Djgot

I think we are to bravely rebuke evil people who oppose us. It takes courage and faith. I think we often underestimate what God is willing to do for us if we would just ask and/or obey His Word. I pray that God would put courage and faith into the hearts, minds, and wills of all believers to be able to take a stand against evil, when it comes at someone or someone else. In the name of our Lord, Jesus Christ, the Victor!
