Terry, to kill a fatted calf means to prepare a lavish celebration, often to welcome someone back from a long absence. The phrase comes from the Biblical parable of the prodigal son, in which a father prepares a feast for his son who has returned home after squandering his fortune. So the fatted calf can vary in size.

Sister Shirley, may CHRIST IN US grace us with HIS wisdom and HIS understanding.

Romans 8:19 For the earnest EXPECTATION of the creature WAITETH for the manifestation of the SONS OF GOD.

Romans 8:21 Because the creature ITSELF shall be DELIVERED from the bondage of corruption unto the glorious liberty of the CHILDREN OF GOD.

When God has gathered all the Sons of GOD (those being born again NOW), then he will resurrect all the dead back into their flesh and those sons with him will JUDGE THE EARTH.

Isaiah 26:9 .... For when thy judgements are in the earth, the inhabitants of the world will LEARN RIGHTEOUSNESS.

Obadiah 1:21 And saviours shall come upon mount Zion to judge the mount of Esau, and the kingdom shall be the LORD'S.

Proverbs 16:6 By mercy and truth iniquity is purged .....

1 Corinthians 15:28 And when all things shall have been subdued unto him, then shall the Son also himself be subject unto him that put all things under him, that GOD MAY BE ALL IN ALL.

Does this sound like God is going to send men to hell INSTEAD OF SAVING THEM.

    Hi Rick,

Yes indeed. There's a good message you are sharing here. I think Jonah could also be included in this. God says you're going to Ninevah and Jonah says nope, I'm going the other way. Jonah was exercising his free-will. But isn't it amazing for the believer in Christ that every time we try and do things "our way," they don't quite seem to work out as planned? I like your paraphrase using the word "dude."

First and foremost I would like to say thank you for giving me this encouraging and truthful advice. I still have a lot to learn I know and I'll admit but as you stated the important things are praying, studying and living out the life that he wants us to so we can draw others to Christ. I'm tired at times and I'll admit it's taken a toll on me because I want to do so much but it's important to know the word inside and out. I thank everyone for being so kind and straight with me. I have along way to go but this journey is a beautiful one and at the end I will write about it to share with my family because Jesus Christ is forever King

    What about Love?

    Luke 6:35-38

35 But love ye your enemies, and do good, and lend, hoping for nothing again; and your reward shall be great, and ye shall be the children of the Highest: for he is kind unto the unthankful and to the evil.

36 Be ye therefore merciful, as your Father also is merciful.

37 Judge not, and ye shall not be judged: condemn not, and ye shall not be condemned: forgive, and ye shall be forgiven:

38 Give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall men give into your bosom. For with the same measure that ye mete withal it shall be measured to you again.

Love to all, and God Bless.

Do I need to cover my head every time I am talking to God and Jesus? I talk to him all throughout the day.......do I need to stop every time I do this to put a covering over my head? Do you think this is actually what he means for me to do?

And am I really not allowed to speak in church (a woman); what about female ministers? They have to speak, otherwise they wouldn't be able to preach. Did God mean for women to refrain from entering the ministry? No because Tabitha was an apostle wasn't she?, so she must have done a lot of teaching.

    Please help me understand this

Dear Arnold , we are strengthened in our faith towards God when we listen to and learn from His Word . How can we ever hope to help any one else come closer to the Throne of Grace if we ourselves are not convinced and totally confident in our own beliefs and understanding of Him and towards Him ? I think of the transfiguration of Christ in front of Peter James and John . What was the purpose of them witnessing this ? It was to strengthen them , to convince them of the Truth pertaining to Jesus Christ the Son of the Only Ever Living God Almighty , the Holy One of Israel . After Jesus's death , ressurection and ascension , these three would play a massive part in spreading the Gospel of the Kingdom . In their lifetimes I think that these three will have suffered enormously , physically , mentally and emotionally . They will have been abused and tortured and rejected so many times by so many people . However , their faith will not have ever been in any real danger , that vision of the transfigured Christ would have remained with them all their lives . It would comfort and strengthen them at every turn in their lives and they would have been able to convince others because of their own conviction . Read and study and pray , do your best to draw closer to God and He will draw closer to you . When others hear and see your conviction in your eyes and your voice and the way you live your life it will help them to want to know more about the awesome things that you know about . You cannot convince others if you yourself are not convinced and able to show your conviction in your manner of life . Read and study and pray . May God make you His for ever .

    Hi Brother Jesse,

Thank you for clarifying your beliefs on Salvation.

Yes, I too believe we are in agreement, that the entire salvation process, in finality, is dependent on God forgiving us!

Also, as you say, adoption of "the Christ centered message" remains our only roadmap to victory!

    God Bless.

    God Bless.

Hi Jesse Mans mental accent to the truth of walking by the spirit is mans five senses mind saying I'll do it my way, but we will know them by there spiritual fruit. When naamen in the old testament Got delivered of leprosy if he would have dipped in Jordan 6 times no deal the man of God said seven. Another example when jesus Christ told Peter to let down your nets for a drought Peter said look dude I'm a fisherman you preach but to appease you I'll let down a net, the grace is they still got the fish.

As believers some things we have been given by God through Jesus Christ when he sat at Gods right hand and completed Gods Work for us.

We have been made the righteousness of God in Christ

We have been sanctified or set apart from the world

We have been redeemed bought back by the payment of Jesus Christ for sins past present and future.

We have the ministry of reconciling men back to God by sharing our deliverance and example.

We have been justified our new life is in Him just as if we never sinned. Not saying we won't

We have in the future a home in heaven

We have access to our Father through the spirit.

We have the ability to renew our minds and become more like Christ.

We have the love of God Agapeo to share with others.

We have been given the ability to minister healing to others.

We have the ability to pray for people to come to Gods Word.

We have the ability to manifest power from on High.

Why do we have all this For it is God working in you to do of His Good will and pleasure.

We Have so much to be thankful for.

Another sign they like to say peace peace when there is no peace . They hate the truth of their errors and kill the real prophets a reoccurring theme through out the bible .

I don't expect to find TV evangelist much different.

They can easily be proven false and their followers are the real losers for not seeking the truth in the scriptures. A special place in hell for these fake preachers .

Precious friend, "full of error" is probably because of 'ignoring' one, more than one, OR:

All Of God's Bible "study" Rules: Link

Especially the ONE "that Commands us 'How to study'": 2 Timothy 2:15

Please Be Richly Encouraged, Enlightened, Exhorted, and Edified!

    ( 2 Timothy 2:15; Romans 16:25; Ephesians 1:3-9; Ephesians 3:9 = Grace/Mystery fellowship {Romans - Philemon}, For ALL "to SEE," today,?)

"full of error" = Out of fellowship?

    Brother Dan, Amen!

As you say, salvation should never be taken likely. I guess it would have been better for me to say "man-made" formula instead of just formula. Yes, the bible clearly teaches us what is required for salvation. I believe I have a pretty thorough understanding of the entire salvation process. There isn't anything you just said that I would disagree with. Would you agree with me if I said that the entire salvation process is all of God, not man?

The "special formula" that I speak of, and please accept my apology for not wording it differently, but I've heard so many different answers to the question of how does one obtain salvation. I'm speaking of man-made formulas. I'm sure you've heard a few of those over the years?

Man comes up with so many different ways on how to be saved that are not biblically correct. And these formulas are all human formulas that have nothing to do with the Spirit of God doing the work. As long as the gospel message of salvation is Christ centered, and not man centered, I think one would do well in sharing that message.

If I'm asked what is required for salvation, I don't feel I would be in the wrong by telling that person that they need to receive Christ. They need to be born of His Spirit.

Thanks for the blessing. You also have a blessed day in Christ Jesus!

    Good Morning Faith Family,

I haven't written in a while and wanted to first see how everyone is doing. It's important to me to not only check up on my brothers and sisters but also to see if they need anything I am a message away or a phone call or even a text (I dont know if that's allowed). I've come across somethings that I believe the Lord is leading me to understand more and that's 1. His love 2. His purpose in my life. I want to always go forth in the power of his might but I know I am lacking in a lot of areas and need guidance which I do ask of him but I want to be filled more with his spirit. The urgency and fervency is there. I sometimes get the urge to go out on the corners of street and wave the sign and proclaim the gospel but lately I've been seeing that I need to get more into his word so he can strengthen me with knowledge, wisdom, love and guidance on how to speak. I would like to know your honest input on what I am going through. I love Jesus and want everyone to know but sometimes in my head I want to do the things that I feel like I should but don't know if it's his will if that makes sense. I want to be strengthened by his word but also understand which I love talking to him. I wanted just to reach out with y'all because I believe we all are strengthened because we should be one in spirit as Jesus stated we should be.

    Thank you

I pray for salvation on the lost souls in the world. Open the hearts of our leadership, that they will receive Jesus as their savior and govern our country in the fear of the Lord.

Thank you Jesus for hearing our cry on this day October 27, 2021

  • Cowboy - In Reply - 4 years ago
    Emily

If you are feeling conviction again than pray about it. It could be that God is trying to get you to pray more we are saved by faith. It could be the devil tempting you trying to make you believe you are not saved. So, pray to God really get down on your knees and pray don't just pray a few minutes really pray make it an hour are so. Don't stop until you get in contact with God and get the reassurance that you are saved

    God bless

Get prayed up and ready to go up

The holy spirit has been with you! Why do u need to know? He made you a promise, and has kept it. Now you want to know? Would it make any difference if you did know? I think not, for with the heart we believe unto God. Knowing that He died for you is enough! Faith in the risen savior, who died for you. Emily!

Today , while doing housework and listening to Tom Petty , I have been thinking about the so called witch of Endor . Here are my thoughts for what they are worth :

    Isaiah Ch66 v1-5 and 2nd Thessalonians Ch2 v1-12 .

The Bible is the Word of God and good for our spiritual development , it does mostly deal with very human beings , weak , fearful and vulnerable flesh . This woman ( I don't believe in witches ,hence my two quotes at the begining of this post ) is faced with her king and a couple of his men / body guards ?/ soldiers? My guess is that she was quite scared . Saul promises her that she won't die ,how strong is her faith in that promise ? I think she was a crafty person , weighing up the effect of her words on people very carefully , in the past and in this instance . She may well have been aware that God had departed from Saul and he wasn't going to be king for much longer , she may have heard rumours that the Philistines were very strong and expected to defeat Israel . What should she say ? If she tells Saul that he shall live and be victorious and that's not what happens , if Saul dies will his men honour his promise to let her live ? Might they not come to kill her for her lie / false prophecy ?

If she says Saul will die and Israel will be defeated and the opposite happens she might be mocked but they may not feel the need to kill her . She chooses wisely I think . There's no mention of any man in her house who might try to protect her and we shouldn't underestimate what some one who is very scared might do or say to save their lives , we are only human . I often wonder how Bathsheba felt , powerless to resist her king who she knew had been appointed by God ? Most women are physically weaker than most men and even today men take advantage of that fact . We have laws to protect us now but in Old Testament times ? It seems even David didn't take notice and apply the laws of that time . Think of poor Tamar .
